The QGB was designed to transform the Nagra portable recorder into a studio unit.
The QGB allows for recording or playback of 10.5” tape whereas only 7” tape can be used on a standard portable Nagra.
This will give you around 45 minutes of recording capability at 15” per second.
The QGB is a precise mechanical device that has to be side-chained to the Nagra IV-S power supply.
A limited number of units were made, so it is very hard to source it today.
